Notes on building teams that last
Terms of Use
These terms cover what happens when you send us a story idea, sit down for an interview, or hand over a project diary. They apply to everyone who takes part in the magazine, whether you write, get written about, or simply read.
Your words and your photographs remain yours. By sending material you give Dream Teammate permission to edit it for length, clarity, and translation into the neutral Spanish edition we publish for readers in the Dominican Republic. That permission covers our magazine and its archive, nothing else.
If you are interviewed, you can ask us to leave out names, client information, or workplace situations you would rather not see in print. Tell the editor before publication and we will work around it. Once a piece is live, changes are harder to make.
Short passages may be quoted with attribution to Dream Teammate and a link back to the original page. Republishing a full article, interview, or photo essay requires written permission from our editorial team. Ask first, and we will usually say yes.
We turn down material that falls outside our editorial focus, is unsafe, exploitative, or unsuitable for a general audience. This applies to story pitches, sponsored proposals, and anything submitted for the Caribbean edition. The decision rests with the editors.
Sending a story idea does not create an assignment or publication commitment. If we invite a contribution, the scope and working terms are confirmed in writing before any work begins.
If something goes wrong, write to us first and we will try to settle it in a direct written conversation with the editorial team. These terms may be updated as the magazine grows; the current version always lives on this page.
Questions about these terms, permissions, or authorship go to the editorial team.
